Most hot water
pressure washers are equipped with a thermostat to control output
water temperature. Check the thermostat setting. If
set correctly to a high temperature there may be a problem with
the thermostat. Check continuity across the contacts. Some
machines do not have a thermostat. Usually the BTU output of
these units is not enough the have the temperature run away. So,
manufacturers cheap out and don't install a thermostat. If
this is the case for your machine we seriously recommend
installing one. It is possible to have a pump problem, which
slows down the water flow. If this happens you could be
faced with an overheated burner. All
hot water pressure washers should have a high limit switch
installed, whether you have a thermostat or not. These
switch are installed in the output of the burner. Check to
ensure this switch is not preventing the burner from
firing.
