slipping. If it is slipping then your pump will not be
running at full speed, hence lower flow and pressure.
the belt is loose, try tightening by moving the pump or
motor. Usually there is a small amount of adjustment to
allow for stretched belts.

oil. A small amount of oil will allow the belt to slip.

if the side of the belt that runs on the pulley. If it's
shinny, it's probably worn out.
