There
is a ball and cone spring inside the body of the soap
injector. The ball and spring
together acts as a valve. The valve is opened and closed by the pressure
and flow of the water going through the injector When
the pressure is high the ball is held against the orifice, not
allowing water to go out the soap inlet. When
the pressure is low and the flow is high, venturi
action overrides the strength of the spring This opens the valve,
allowing soap to be sucked into the injector body. The soap
is then mixed with the water going through the injector. Sometimes the spring will break or the ball
will get damaged. This valve assembly needs to work or you will not get
soap. A missing ball or spring will allow water to come out of the
injector
